I've read lots of Jack Weyland before After all he is the mormon Nicholas Sparks I saw this book on my library's catalog and thought that it seemed interesting enough and would be a nice short read Cameron Meets Madison was a really easy read It took me about an hour so it was kind of nice to be done so fast The plot was much different than most of Jack Weyland's books because usually it is strictly realistic fiction dealing with things such as pregnancy drugs eating disorders etc This one was a little young adult than his other titles as well As it was a pretty interesting plot I got a little confused by it It just happened so fast and I didn't really understand what was going on for a couple of pages The characters were pretty great There was arrogant Cameron who is the star of the football team I enjoyed watching his character develop throughout the story because as he had to re do his day over and over again he started to realize how cocky he was and he began to change that I also like Madison She stood up for what she believed in even when in high school that can be pretty difficult She knew what she was doing and I liked that confidence in her Overall I think that this was a cute read It may not be one of my favorites but definitely good for a day where you want to get some light reading in or are too tired to read a long novel Favorite Character Madison Like I said she knew what she was doing Crush Cameron He was pretty entertaining And I liked his changed character Book a likes A cleaner 'Before I Fall' by Lauren Oliver Maybe not as detailed and lengthy but the same general idea Also like the movie 'Groundhog Day'I give Cameron Meets Madison a C I realized that this is low but it didn't really hit the spot like his other books have I guess I was just expecting I recommend Cameron Meets Madison for ages 11 It is a really clean book The worst word is probably darn There is a little partying but I think it makes a good point I also recommend this book for LDS teens because it is an LDS book and has religious references such as the Book of Mormon and things like that
